- Bethlehem University was created following the historic 1964 visit of Saint Pope Paul VI to the Holy Land.
- The University is a joint venture between the Holy See (Vatican) and the De la Salle Christian Brothers.
- It is the only Catholic/Christian university in the Holy Land.
- Bethlehem University is a co-educational institution.
- The University is located on 8.67 acres at the highest point in the town of Bethlehem.
- The annual tuition cost is $4,000.
- Beginning with 112 students during its first year in 1973, today there are more than 3,500 students enrolled.
- There are more than 16,000 graduates, most of whom live and work in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza.
